Defined vs. Undefined Centers

In the Human Design System, centers can be either defined (colored in) or undefined (blank, usually black or white on a chart). Here's what this means:

  • Defined Centers: These are areas where you have consistent and reliable energy. You influence others with the energy of these centers.
  • Undefined Centers: These are areas where you are open to external influences. You absorb and reflect the energies around you, making you more adaptable but also more susceptible to conditioning.

Understanding Your Centers

Knowing which of your centers are defined or undefined can offer profound insights into your strengths and vulnerabilities. For example:

  • Defined Centers: Embrace the consistency and reliability of these centers. Use them as your anchor points in life.
  • Undefined Centers: Recognize where you may be influenced by others and practice mindfulness to maintain your true self.

The Human Design Centers provide a detailed map of your energetic blueprint. By understanding the unique qualities of each center and whether they are defined or undefined, you can navigate your life with greater awareness and authenticity.
